Situated in historic Vouvant village on the edge of the forest and beside lakes; about an hour’s drive from the warm white sand Vendee beaches. Close to La Rochelle, Puy du Fou and Futuroscope .

House: Heated by wood stove. Electric convector in every room. Dehumidifier.

Downstairs: Open plan living and dining room recently refurbished; CD and DVD player. Breakfast bar

separates this from the well equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer, dishwasher,gas/electric stove

and microwave oven.

Bathroom with wash basin, separate shower cubicle, bath with shower over and toilet.

Washing machine and separate tumble dryer adjacent to bathroom.

Upstairs: Main bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe, large chest of drawers. Second bedroom with twin 3ft beds, large built in wardrobe and twin sets of drawers. Shower room with toilet and wash basin.

Courtyard: South west facing, secluded; Teak table and chairs; barbeque.

Garden: On three levels providing views of the village.

Garage: Space for one car.

Village: Population about 800. 11th century church, ramparts, ruined tower and scenic walks.

Auberge with bar and restaurant, two cafes (one with free wifi access) creperie/grill, mini market, gift shops, art galleries, boulangerie, hairdresser, post office, medical centre and pharmacy. English understood.

Rental: Flexible lets from £350 pw low season all inclusive. Shorter periods available. Linen not provided.
